Mission:  The Mission of the Camden Municipal Court is to provide quality public service in a timely and competent manner and to ensure everyone receives fair and impartial service. 

Bench Trials:  Scheduled each Wednesday of the month beginning at 8:45 am and held on the second floor of Camden City Hall, 1000 Lyttleton Street.  For your date of trial, please refer to the trial date(s) listed on your ticket and/or bond paperwork. Please dress appropriately for Court. No electronic devices allowed.

Jury Trials:  Scheduled once a month and held on the second floor of Camden City Hall, 1000 Lyttleton Street. We will mail a notification with the date(s) and time(s) of the trial. Please dress appropriately for Court. No electronic devices allowed.

Preliminary Hearings:  The Kershaw County 5th Judicial Circuit Solicitor’s Office holds preliminary hearings once per month. For municipal cases, please appear at Camden City Hall, 1000 Lyttleton Street, on the date and time listed on your notification. Please dress appropriately for Court. No electronic devices allowed.

Change of Address/Residence: 

If your address changes while your case is pending, please email your current address with ticket/warrant number to beldavis@camdensc.org or call 803-432-2421 ext. 1120, so that we may send you a notice of your hearing(s).   

Payments

  • In-person or by Phone: Camden Municipal Court is located at 1000 Lyttleton St. Camden, SC 29020. You may pay in-person in the form of cash, certified bank check, money order or debit/credit card. A debit/credit 3% convenience fee will be charged. Or you may call 803-432-2421 ext. 1120 to pay via phone. A debit/credit 6% convenience fee will be charged for payments made by phone. Personal checks are NOT accepted.
  • By mail:  Mail payments to Camden Municipal Court – 1000 Lyttleton St. Camden, SC 29020. Only a certified bank check or money order is accepted. No cash or personal checks will be accepted by mail. Please include your name, address and ticket/warrant number with payment.
  • Online Payment: Payment of fines and tickets can be made online here.
  • Payment of parking tickets can be made at the Camden Police Department, 816 W. DeKalb Street, Monday – Friday 8:30 am- 4:30 pm.
