The Carolina Cup Races, established in 1930, is hailed as South Carolina's largest sporting/social event. More than 50,000 fans to mingle in a sea of fashions, terrific tailgate picnics and thrilling sport.
The emerald green race course is dotted with tents, banners and flags and gates open at 9:00 A.M. for pre-race picnics and congeniality. General admission and reserved spaces all offer good views.
Then it's on to the captivating power of thoroughbreds racing at 35mph over 5 foot high fences. Six afternoon races include the Carolina First Carolina Cup. It is steeplechase at its finest and an experience that you will not forget.
